Friscous is among the one hundred Italian excellences featured in the prestigious volume published by Riccardo Dell’Anna, presented in the Sala della Lupa at Palazzo Montecitorio on November 29, on the occasion of the fourth edition of the 100 Italian Excellences Award.
Art, architecture, urban planning, together with all Italian productive and innovation sectors, were the protagonists of the event, which featured speakers such as Angelo Buscema, President of the Court of Auditors; Roberto Alesse, representative of the Ministry for the Environment and the Protection of Territory and Sea; Antonio Barreca, Director General of Federturismo; Maria Bianca Farina, President of ANIA; Natalia Quintavalle, Diplomatic Advisor to the Ministry of Justice; Massimo Sessa, President of the High Council of Public Works; Prefect Roberto Sgalla, Director of the Special Units of the State Police; and Rossana Zambelli, Director of the Italian Confederation of Farmers.
The Excellence Award was bestowed upon Giovanni Mammone, First President of the Court of Cassation, and upon the Armed Forces, represented by General Enzo Vecciarelli, Chief of Defence Staff, and General Salvatore Farina, Chief of Staff of the Italian Army, who received an Honourable Mention together with Admiral Matteo Bisceglia, Head of Naval Armaments.
For Public Administration, the award was presented to Franco Daniele, State Accountant General, while the corresponding Honourable Mention was granted to Roberto Chieppa, Secretary General of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.
In the Women in Leadership category, the award went to Tiziana Coccoluto, Chief of Cabinet of the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities; for National Security, the prize was awarded to Prefect Vincenzo Cardellicchio, on assignment at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, while the Honourable Mention was given to Angelo Borrelli, Head of Civil Protection.
In the field of research, the award was presented to Diego Centonze, Professor of Neurology at the University of Tor Vergata; scientific communication, instead, saw the well-known journalist Luciano Onder among the awardees.
For legal sciences, the prize was collected by Guido Alpa, Professor of Civil Law at La Sapienza University of Rome, while Antonella Mansi, Vice President of Confindustria with responsibility for national organization, was selected to represent women in professional careers.
The Director of the Senate Press Office, Antonio Bettanini, received the Excellence Award for the communication sector, while journalist Mirta Merlino was honored for journalism.
The much-loved Lino Banfi was awarded for the entertainment sector, while Gaetano Curreri, lead singer of Stadio, received the prize for music. Antonio Conte was awarded the Pigna d’Onore for sport, and Renato Balestra received the award for fashion.
