World Brand Design dedicates an article to Friscous packaging

World Brand Design Society, the most important and prestigious international community for design and corporate branding, has dedicated an article to the new Friscous packaging.

Special thanks go to designer Alfonso Paolini, who conceived and developed the project.

Packaging Design for Friscous: taste and well-being from sourdough and turmeric

The project consisted of redesigning the Friscous® brand in order to enter the refined cuisine market with a professional image.

The color choice (yellow and tobacco brown) was studied based on the ingredients used in Friscous®, such as wheat and turmeric, to immediately convey that this is a cereal-based culinary product.

We sought to use an intuitive language based on association, employing as few elements as possible in the composition and graphic organization: the yellow tone, in addition to reflecting turmeric and the final color of Friscous grains, is highly recognizable.

The window on the box is a graphic synthesis of the Friscous grains, also incorporated into the logo design. On the side of the box there is an infographic that explains very briefly and simply how to use the product.

In addition to the clean composition, another important consideration was that for the final project it was decided to print using only two Pantone colors, to help the client keep box production costs low.”
